She REALLY Knows what she is talking about and understands women’s health. Though I am not completely through the woods with my issue, I feel better knowing that DR. Jao is in my court. She is a bit tough to get an appointment with, but if you are in a crisis situation she will make it happen for you.

I feel very fortunate to have found a FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE doctor. She was listed on Dr. Mark Hyman’s web page as having taken his course. My previous general practitioners are trained to treat symptoms with prescription drugs. Functional medicine MDs seek out and treat the ROOT CAUSES of illness. Dr. Jao ran the tests that no one else did and discovered a couple medical issues that needed treatment, then advised both prescription and over-the-counter medications that have helped me greatly. I am set for my 2nd blue light treatment. This is PREVENTATIVE medicine against skin cancers and will likely preclude the need for surgery. She is high energy and always upbeat and ALWAYS takes time to listen and answer my questions. I come with a list of questions, written down. I recommend her highly. [To commenter Jessica C. – some of the office staff is new and not yet as proficient as her previous staff. It is annoying that they close for a 2 hour lunch, but if you knocked, I bet they would have let you in…]
Dr Jao the first time i saw her she took her time to answer all my questions and she spend a good amount of time with me, I figure since. Is my first time ….. But every time I come to see her is the same , now days doctors are in and out ,I’m so glad i found doctor Jao.
Dr. Jao really seems to enjoy her work and has an excellent bedside manner. In just two months she took care of a couple of health issues for me which could not seem to get resolved by my previous primary care physicians over the last two years. The difference? Dr. Jao encourages your input, listens and then applies her professional expertise.
Dr Jao is awesome. Seriously, although I hate to admit I get it done… she does the BEST Botox ever! Great doc, friendly staff and this woman is amazing with cosmetic stuff.
Dr. Jao has been my primary physician since 2008. She has advised me with herbal supplements as alternative/preventive treatments to replace hormonal long term medications with side effects of thinning of the bones. Dr. Jao takes the holistic approach and provides her medical advices from a big picture perspective to achieve wellness of the whole body instead of symptom-suppressing prescriptions. Her medical expertise is highly recommended.
Dr. Jao has been my family physician for over 15 years. I have always been treated with the most care by her and her team. With the last company I worked for, I didn’t have the insurance coverage that dr Jao took, so I didn’t get to see her for a few years. Recently, I am able to visit her once again and nothing has changed since I last remembered. She’s still wonderful and took great care of me. She will remain my physician for as long as I’m able to see her! I couldn’t imagine having anyone else look after my health but her!!
She is a very good Doctor and makes you feel good, she takes the time to talk with you and not just push you out the door with med’s.

Dr. Jao has been my primary physician for more than 5 years. I heard about her from my sister-in-law when we were talking about my knee bothering me. I have arthritis in both knees and they were burning if I stood or walked for just a few minutes. I went to Dr Jao for a consultation and ended up getting the PRP injections in the knee that was bothering me the most. Oh my goodness, I had relief a few weeks later. The burning went away and I was able to walk again! I’ve had these injections three times in the past 5 years with one just a month ago. I was having problems with my left knee and had an MRI done. I found out that I have a meniscus tear and I was going on vacation that entailed a lot of walking. Dr Jao performed the PRP on it and I stayed off of it until a few days before vacation. I was able to walk, hike and swim with no trouble at all. Dr Jao is very caring and very loving to her patients. I trust her and follow any instructions she tells me to do.
Dr. Jao has been my doctor since a friend of mine recommended her when I was suffering from depression. Dr. Jao is very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and always listens with a very caring heart. I will forever be grateful that she knew how to get me back to MYSELF again with the correct hormones, supplements, and her continual “tender loving care”. Words can’t describe how helpful Dr. Jao was over the course of my wife’s pregnancy. Although the waiting time for appointments can sometimes be long, she really takes her time to understand the needs/concerns of her patients and you can feel that she genuinely cares about the well being of her patients. Because of her guidance, my wife and I were able to successfully have our first baby!
Not only that, Dr. Jao was able to help me overcome my recent diagnosis of diabetes as I wanted to rehabilitate my self without having to resort to insulin (a proposition that my original primary physician deemed was not possible).

I have been coming to Dr Jao for over a year now and I have had the most amazing experience with Dr. Jao and her wonderful staff. They all make sure they take the time to welcome you and answer any question you may have. I have had multiple different treatments done and literally they have been life changing! The hormone treatment that I am receiving has been nothing short of a miracle! I have also had a treatment called the O shot and that helps your sexual internal parts get back to a more youthful state! I would recommend any women that has been through menopause try this treatment twice …It is amazing!! Dr.Jao is the best and kindest Dr. have I ever had! Dr Jao is an amazing doctor with fantastic bedside manners she has treated my parents my sister and myself for the past 15 years we have seen her since she was practicing and La Mirada and I read a few of the reviews were people are upset because she doesn’t take insurance patients anymore and she only takes cash that’s besides the point fact of the matter is she’s knowledgeable doctor in the medical field bottom line is she deafly knows her stuff.
Best PCP ever. But don’t tell anyone, then I will have to wait longer to get an appointment. Can’t wait to get married so my spouse can see Dr. Jao as well!
Dr Jao is amazing. She is the perfect mix of western yet uses natural Medicine too- and she has never told me I might have something bad. She spends time with me, never rushes and helped pull me out adrenal fatigue in my mid twenties.

Because she tends to spend more time be prepared to wait for a bit… your not gonna be in and out in 15 mins… but this is your body… you only get one… I’d rather wait and have the whole thing take an hour and know I have a dr who cares.

Excellent doctor. Her bedside matters are amazing. She’s patient, kind, and professional. I drive all the way from Rancho Cucamonga for her services. All of my family members have her as their primary doctor. Her staff is also professional . We love LUZ as well.
